This model is not to be confused with the entry level rc cars, this is a proper rc hobby racing machine! Aluminium centre drive shaft, 75A brushless speed controller, aluminium capped oil filled shocks, aluminium shock towers, aluminium radio tray and much more, the Lightning Strike is in a league of it's own.

Another unique point is the rally car type shell. We have taken a buggy chassis and modified it to fit a rally car shell. Not only does this look amazing but it also means unlike other rc cars on the market this one is also pretty good off road. Just like a real rally car this model can go on tracks that would leave it's competition paralyzed.

One of the most important features of the electric Lightning Strike is the brushless system that offers several advantages over normal DC motors, including higher efficiency and reliability, reduced noise, longer lifetime (no brush erosion), elimination of ionizing sparks from the commutator, and overall reduction of interference. The maximum power that can be applied to a brushless motor is exceptionally high, limited almost exclusively by heat. Again this makes the model extremely upgradeable as basically there is almost no limit to the battery power that you can pump into it and the higher the power the quicker it will go!

We have had our Nitrotek models kitted out with traditional stick type controllers instead of the pistol type that come with a lot of models. This is a personal choice of what you are more comfortable with.
